four-strand fishtail

four-strand fishtail

We went behind the scenes on our spring adornment shoot with Toni&Guy Artistic  Director Sophie Springett to find out how to create the ultimate fishtail braid

Dampen hair with label.m Sea Salt Spray, spritzing it through the roots.

Use your fingers to rake the hair away from the face, placing label.m Metal Sectioning Clips in their path to create a ridged texture, while leaving baby hairs loose around the hairline.

Apply more label.m Sea Salt Spray and set the hair using the label.m Tourmaline Dryer with diffuser attachment.

Apply label.m Soft Wax through the ends of the hair and then use label.m Metal Sectioning Clips to temporarily secure the hair to the nape of the neck.

Divide hair into four sections ensuring that the middle two are twice as thick as the outer two.

Take a small section of the right-hand part and weave it under, over and under the other three until it joins the left-hand part. Repeat this method with a small section of the left hand part of hair.

Repeat and secure the braid with the Toni&Guy Hard As Nails hair accessory, leaving at least two inches of the hair free at the end of the hair accessory.
