Jarvis does a moony
It’s been 21 years since Pulp lead vocalist Jarvis Cocker brandished his bum at Michael Jackson in protest of his ‘Christ-like’ image, but it’s a memory that refuses to fade. Jackson, who had just been crowned ‘Artist of a Generation,’ was performing Earth Song as Cocker proceeded to invade the stage and moon him.
Halliwell goes patriotic
Who can forget THAT dress? In 1997 the Spice Girls were yet to reach peak stardom but Geri Halliwell firmly cemented her girl group power with her incredibly short mini dress. Ginger Spice deemed the black Gucci number too boring so she asked her sister to stitch a Union Jack tea towel to the front.
Robbie vs Liam
Everyone loves a good fight, right? Well Robbie Williams certainly thought so in 2000, when he challenged Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher to a televised boxing match. To be fair, Gallagher did call the ex-Take That star ‘the fat one’. Even though Williams offered up £100,000, the fight failed to take place.
Adele’s rise to fame
In 2011, a 22-year-old Adele took to the Brits stage to perform her spine-tingling ballad ‘Someone Like You’ and mesmerised a nation. The result? She quickly became a household name. Fun fact: her second album, 21, has sold a copy every seven seconds in the UK since its 2016 release.
Madonna takes a tumble
2015 saw Madonna encounter a rather unfortunate wardrobe malfunction. She wasn’t quick enough to undo a tie on her Armani cape before her dancers pulled it off, resulting in a rather epic fall down some steps and off of the stage. You need to watch that material, girl.
