Explore legendary Italian brand Missoni’s modern masterpieces at Art Colour

Instantly recognisable for its distinctive and colourful zigzag prints, Missoni is one of the most influential and iconic fashion brands in the world. To celebrate more than 60 years of fashion, The Fashion and Textile Museum along with the MA*GA Art Museum is hosting a major new exhibition ‘Missoni Art Colour’, which explores the creative process of the fashion house and the textiles of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni who founded the brand back in 1953.

Expect to see many original garments drawn from the company’s archive, previously unseen textile studies, personal Missoni artwork and paintings by leading 20th Century European artists. “This exhibition is designed to showcase the creative process of knitting artwork into fashion forms,” says Luca Missoni, director of the Missoni Archive. “It’s a great opportunity to rediscover our colourful heritage.”

Missoni Art Colour will run until 4 September;
