DAY TWO: London Fashion Week A/W 14
Day two of our London Fashion Week trend report
Silk bucket hats, grey scale kaleidoscope prints and sensual off-the-shoulder knitwear punctuated this super-cool offering from Apu Jan. Entitled Turbulence, the show’s theme was reflected in the artfully textured ponytails.
Retro fabulousness was in the air at Mimi Fasi’s collection debut, where brightly patterned silks, hound’s-tooth skirt suits and prim beehives reigned supreme. Recreate the look with an elegantly draped scarf, a high-shine up do and the sound of The Ronettes in your speakers.
Last season’s Merit Award Winner, Yulia Kondranina smashed expectations once more with a vibrant display of complex knitwear and offbeat dresses. Frayed edges, fine wools and provocative straps set this collection apart, while dramatic side-swept hair provided the final sensual touch.
