Cream of the Crop

With the British Hairdressing Awards just around the corner, we take a look at the impressive work from Toni&Guy’s finalists

Exactly one month before Christmas is the starriest night of the year in the hairdressing world. Sponsored by Schwartzkopf, The HJ British Hairdressing Awards is a celebration of unabashed creativity. And with such a renowned education programme, it will come as no surprise that the Toni&Guy family dominate the finals.

With talent dotted across the country, Jon Wilsdon from Toni&Guy Deansgate has reached the final six in the North Western category, while Billericay essensuals’ Jim Shaw and Daisy Carter joined Wigmore Street’s Gianluca Caruso in the Men’s category. Toni&Guy Victoria’s Federico Patelli is up for the Trend Image Award, in addition to the Newcomer Award, an accolade which was famously won by Global Creative Director Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck when she was just 19.

Down to the final six in the explosion of imagination that is the Avant Garde Award are North Audley Street’s Hayley Bishop and Sevenoaks’ Sophie Springett, who collaborated on a dreamy shoot inspired by textile design. The prestigious Toni&Guy Artistic Team are, of course, in the finals of the Artistic Team Award, and Head of Education Cos Sakkas has reached the illustrious British Hairdresser of the Year final.

While Cos’s imagery remains tightly under wraps until the big night, we take a look at the beautiful work from the rest of Toni&Guy’s hugely talented finalists and wish them the best of British. We hope that Christmas comes early for you all!
