Take a trip to the Roundhouse this weekend for a film screening with a difference
This weekend London’s Roundhouse Theatre will screen one of Hitchcock’s classic films along with a live orchestra. An HD version of the 1960 horror thriller, Psycho, will be accompanied by The Orchestra of St Paul’s – conducted by Ben Palmer – playing Bernard Herrmann’s legendary, spine-chilling score.
The film, starring Janet Leigh as a troubled young woman on the run from her employers after stealing $40,000, and Anthony Perkins as a shy motel owner, is hailed as one of Hitchcock’s greatest masterpieces. And as Hitchcock himself once said, “33% of the effect of Psycho was due to the music,” this rendition is sure to heighten the senses.
