BBQ goes gourmet with the opening of Walter and Monty
Charcoal cooking connoisseurs Walter and Monty has just opened its first permanent restaurant. Fresh from a string of street food and pop up events, such as last year’s hugely popular Summer Tales and Night Tales, founder Alex Kaye has set up residence at East London’s Bury Court ready to welcome guests who are ravenous for meat and fish dishes marinated in Asian-inspired flavours.
Visitors will be able to watch head chef Nick Ross in the kitchen as he prepares beef picanha sourced from London’s Smithfield market, or leg of lamb flavoured with mint, garlic and lemon served in warm flatbreads and fresh salads. Choose from a range of house sauces ranging from a flaming Scotch Bonnet to a more delicate feta and garlic. Walk in for lunch and dinner is starting soon.
