A dog's dinner
Singleton's rejoice! Now you can spend Valentine's day with your canine companion
No date? No problem. Just take your dog. This Valentine’s weekend the Dogs Trust will open its first pop-up restaurant, designed with hungry pooches and their owners in mind.
MicroChipp, a 1950s style diner, will help to raise awareness of the new microchipping legislation - which dictates that all dogs must be chipped by April 6. Dog-owners are invited to bring their pets to learn more about the importance of microchipping to schedule their dog to be chipped free of charge at one of the Dogs Trust’s rehoming centres.
As a treat for good behaviour four-legged friends can chow down on hotdogs courtesy of gourmet hotdog and champagne company Bubbledogs. Co-owner, Sandia Chang, has worked closely with the Dogs Trust’s veterinary team to develop doggy-friendly meals from a bespoke menu. Spacious booths and bean bags mean that owners can relax and dine side by side.
MicroChippy is open 13-14 February at Printworks Kitchen, 20-26 Rosebery Avenue, EC1R 4SX Tickets can be purchased here.
