British designer J.W Anderson unveils first store in London

Jonathan Anderson, acclaimed designer behind J.W Anderson and Spanish luxury label Loewe, has opened his first store next door to London’s hip Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. Departing from the traditional flagship setup, Anderson has revealed Jonathan Anderson Workshops, a conceptual idea inspired by the Bloomsbury Group’s Omega Workshops.

“I feel like a store should be like your house,” Anderson told Business of Fashion. “Ultimately I love designing clothing, but I love arranging it too, curating it into something.”

Installations will change on a monthly basis, starting with Spanish magazine publisher Luis Venegas, who has will collaborate with Anderson on merchandise to be sold alongside limited edition magazines. Watch this space – quite literally.
