Self-Portrait debuts its first bridal collection

Drawing inspiration from the fashion rebels of the 60s Self-Portrait has released a cool contemporary line of bridal dresses for the ultimate modern bride. Citing Bianca Jagger and Pattie Boyd as muses, founder Han Chong looks set to plug a gap in the market for understated, yet classic bridal wear.

The London-based designer has already garnered a wealth of celebrity fans since Self-Portraits inception in 2013, including model of the moment Gigi Hadid and actress Kristen Stewart, who are frequently spotted wearing his versatile ready-to-wear pieces.

For the inaugural bridal collection Chong plays with timeless silhouettes using silk and lace, updating them with pristine pleating, oversized bows and subtle ruffled Victoriana necklines. The end result is a range of dresses aimed to provide comfort without compromising on style.

Perhaps the unique selling point of the collection though is its price point. Ranging from £650 - £1,000 the collection offers designer quality at an affordable price. The dresses will launch on Net-a-porter and Selfridges websites in February - just in time for those Valentine’s Day proposals.
