Ashley Isham

Ashley Isham’s S/S 14 show upped the ante in the glamour stakes with floor skimming gowns and intricately embroidered plasticised tailoring: fit for the modern goddess. Luxury emanated from the polished make-up and hair – a glossy half-pony – for ultra-sophistication.

Ekaterina Kukhareva

Eccentric Eastern promise punctuated Ekaterina Kukhareva’s S/S 14 sorbet-hued collection, where flowing embroidered gowns sashayed beside knitted trouser suits and belted satin wraps. Exaggerated gold veils shaded the models' delicately rouged faces for a frivolously fun addition to geisha-inspired buns.

Eugene Lin

A powerful strong-femme vibe exuded from Eugene Lin’s S/S 14 show, where origami folds brought a depth of detail to the structural dresses seen in high-octane tangerine, glossy black and crisp white. Hair was slicked-down at the root with wet-look gel to complement the sculptural designs.

Giles

Nineties nonchalance reigned supreme at Giles' show, with models stomping down the catwalk in retro Adidas trainers and a succession of silk dresses from moody sunset-hued camis to pink lippy shifts and jet-black gowns. Nude makeup and a messy plait thrown over the shoulder – lifted at the crown – rounded-off the decade’s too-cool-to-care attitude.

HEOHWAN SIMULATION

Heohwan Simulation’s S/S 14 show was a story of two halves, sophisticated, minimal ’50s-inspired tailoring fused with ’80s streetwear influences. Exposed zips, starched mandarin collars and a powder blue palm print were charming features of the collection, bought together with innocent sun-kissed dewy skin and natural, loose hair.

lulu lui

Modern Victoriana was the inspiration behind Lulu Liu’s captivating S/S 14 collection, which incorporated ornate, swirling repeat prints, billowing sleeves, opulent ruching and fuchsia lattice weave shifts. Rather juxtaposed to the opulent styling, hair was uncomplicated, fashioned into tucked fishtail plaits with Eve-like sprigs of leaves woven into each braid.
