Regent Street gets an architectural makeover
As Christmas (whisper it) fast approaches, window displays start to come into their own. This month, fabric forests and kaleidoscopic reflections are among the thirteen new artsy installations adorning window displays on Regent Street this autumn thanks to The Royal Institute of British Architects Street Windows Project.
Now in its sixth year, the event sees RIBA collaborate with fashion retailers, boutiques, restaurants and cafes to create an engaging and inspiring public architecture exhibition. Coinciding with both London Design Festival and London Fashion Week, the displays will showcase the best in British design. And in such a busy thoroughfare, it's estimated the exhibition will be seen by more than one million people each week.
The RIBA Windows project is on display until September 27 on Regent Street.
