Disobedient Objects

The Victoria&Albert Museum’s latest exhibition looks at objects used in moments of protest

Exploring the powerful role that certain items have had in movements for social change, the Disobedient Objects exhibition mostly focuses on the period between the 1970 and today – a time of great grassroots movements and life-changing technological advancements. On display are rebellious works of art – slogan woven banners, designs for barricades and blockades and other tools of protest – many of which have been loaned by activists all over the world.

Listen to the many in-depth stories being told by bloggers, curators and protesters themselves about some surprising pieces that still retain their relevance today.
